The story of women in the global workforce continues to evolve, yet a structural gap remains. Women make up 41.2% of the workforce and account for 49% of entry level talent but hold just 29% of C-suite roles. This is not a talent issue. It is a systemic one.

This systemic gap extends directly into the venture capital and startup ecosystem. According to the Arise Ventures Diversity Report 2026, a staggering 92% of founders still face persistent gender-based challenges. The barriers are largely structural, with 64% of founders reporting limited access to influential networks and nearly half experiencing direct bias during fundraising.

Furthermore, 69% of founders report that fewer than 10% of their investor interactions are with women. Changing the face of startup leadership clearly requires changing the demographics of who writes the checks.

Still, progress is visible and the business case is undeniable. Companies with more women executives are 38% more likely to lead in digital maturity. At the foundational level, the Arise Ventures report highlights that 71% of startup founders confirm diversity actively fuels their culture and growth. Yet, at the current pace, global gender parity remains 123 years away.

This is why we present The StrongHer 100, 2026. This report recognizes 100 global women who are not waiting for change but actively driving it. From founders to investors and corporate leaders, they are reshaping industries and building pathways for others.

These 100 women are not just a list. They are a signal of what is possible.
